Q: What is it?
» The idea of this part of our site is to document the evolution of Pith as an independent record label, from the very conception of the first ideas through to... well - whatever happens next - we don't know what that's going to be yet...
Below is a big fat list of all the diary entries in the 'pith diaries' which kinda tell the story of where Pith came from and where it's hopefully going...
Q: What is the aim of these diaries?
» Well, hopefully someone will read these diaries and think "hey I could do that!", or get involved in doing their own kinda indie-type thing in their own city... perhaps organizing a small music festival or start a zine or their own label or a fansite or... well, anything really.
If you want to talk about this kind of stuff please do jump on the Record Label Forum and have a chat, ask questions, tell us your ideas... anything really.

Right... a little while ago we got the Innocent Cabbage CD pressed, and the Sacre Bleu! CD is at the pressers at the moment. If you've never had a CD pressed before you're probably wondering what happens when a CD is pressed.

Okay, so it's been an interesting time over the past while, with a few good things and few not so great things. First off, we've finished the artwork for the Cabbage s/t release, so it'll be sent to the pressers we hope early this week.

We've floundered a little bit in getting this whole thing going but recently we've rallied the troops somewhat and are actually getting organised. On the 19th of February, 2005 we held a meeting on some outdoor furniture at my house, now known as Pith Headquarters

I kinda get the feeling I haven't don't enough over the past year with Pith, and I'm not really sure what's been holding me back... Lack of funds? Lack of time? Laziness?
Either way, I keep thinking there's more I can be doing with all of this...

Okay... a few bits and bobs have happened in the past while, with a bit of a scare of She Spits Macabre breaking up, they now have a new bassist and minus one singer, but they're developing a new set and stuff so it's all 'phew'!
Otherwise, I've got somewhat of an 'office' for Pith....
