MAKE YOUR TOPICS NAME LOOK LIKE THIS:
"Melb: Innocent Cabbage + Fah Khing @ Arthouse - 14/5/04."
or perhaps
"Syd: Nov 7th, King Pest, Human torch @ Annandale hotel"
Please. It just makes everything so much easier.
About the gigs forum:This forum is for news on upcoming gigs, nothing else! Before you post a new gig make sure you...
- Check it hasn't been posted already
- Know the etiquette for posting gigs *...
- Check it's relevant. Please only post Australian gigs, preferably bands in the vague genre that Pith is involved in. If you don't know what this vague genre is - don't post!
* Gig posting etiquette
- Any gig posted in this forum will show up on the main gigs page, so make sure you post relevant info in the 'Subject' field of your post.
Stupid: "Amazing band playing! must see!". That has no info, and will look stupid on the front page.
Smart: "Innocent Cabbage + Fah Khing - 14/5/04."
Smarter: "Melbourne: Innocent Cabbage + Fah Khing @ Arthouse - 14/5/04."
Use common sense - don't make it too long or too short, no ALL-CAPS or anything stupid.
- In the body of your post include as much detailed info about the gig as possible. Try to include the date, time, who's playing, how much it costs, where it is (include directions to get there if it's a weird place) and any other relevant info in the first few lines of the post, they'll come up on the front page of the site...
Keep it civil, use common sense when posting, and we can have everyone post their gigs here, keep the moderators sane, and we all will be happy...
