Just found this a little interesting, buh?
ABC's youth network, Triple J, has been come under fire for using a controversial image of New York's World Trade Centre for a new competition.
The image on the radio station's website shows a banner of the Triple J logo strung up between the Twin Towers as part of its new "Beat the drum" competition.
The image forms part of a gallery of faked photos showing suggested locations for the Triple J logo, including the Sydney Opera House, the Eiffel Tower and a space shuttle.
However the Daily Telegraph reports that relatives of Australian victims of the September 11 attacks were angered and disappointed by the station's "insensitivity".
Federal Communications minister, Helen Coonan, says while she has no problem with the competition, the image used was inappropriate and insensitive.
The radio station has justified the use of the images, claiming the icons used represent the heights of human achievement in science, art and literature.
