Pith Records... gad.. where do I start.
Pith records is the brainchild I was dreaming about halfway
through the end of high-school. It's nothing original, just
a bunch of people who got together and went "hey! lets
start a record label!". It's the same story as all those
other frustrated self-proclaimed 'tortured artists' out
there; Stuff moves too slowly, you want your material out
there for people to digest, you want all your bud's music
out there too, so you decide to get all "dun da daaa!!"
and go pretend to start a record label.
Pith records started somewhere mid 2003, though the idea
was around a while before that.
I started with a band called Innocent Cabbage, and after
releasing a few albums all indie I realized that the only
way we were going to do anything worth writing home about
was to team up with all our friends... united we stand, damn
the man, all that stuff.
I've seen too much scary stuff about larger labels and most
of my favorite musicey people have managed to do it themselves,
so why can't we?
With the help of our buds at Nale Aslyum we decided to get
things going...
The boys from Innocent Cabbage and Nale asylum have started
rehearsals for the oh-so-heavy Fah
Khing Project,
and are going to be recording soon. Check out the Fah site for more info.
Will Dayble has begun pre-production for the latest Twit
release - Twitch. More details will be up on the Twit
page as it comes to hand...
Check out the Indie Bible.
It really is a must-have for every independant band out
there.
